Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will contribute to the financial success of our medical practice by ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement from insurance companies.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of all billing activities in the medical office system
- Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and requirements

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Billing/Coding is preferred
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG)
- Familiarity with medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
