Enterprise Architecture Director directs the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Leads the strategy, management, and implementation of the systems architecture function. Being a Enterprise Architecture Director ensures that systems are designed to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Evaluates system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Additionally, Enterprise Architecture Director identifies and researches potential technology products to enhance solution delivery. Participates in creating strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. Oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to top management. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Enterprise Architecture Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position Summary: The Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in aligning our IT architecture with business objectives. The enterprise architecture business solutions will focus on building the architecture vision for application harmonization, simplification from current state to future state and provide the architectural direction to modernize software development and management platforms.
The position plays a significant role in defining and executing the strategy with M&As at Ingersoll Rand meeting the business and IT objectives.
