Job Purpose
The role is responsible for the proper architecture, design and management of the data strategy, and provide technical leadership in collaboration with stakeholders to deliver business goals. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role
Data Strategy Development:
- Define and deliver the data strategy roadmap for the enterprise.
- Establish a Master Data Management program that will help create a common view of master data and provide a centralized mechanism for its aggregation, cleansing, transformation, augmentation, validation, and syndication.
- Develop specific metrics for quality and consistency reviews of data across the enterprise
- Lead the establishment and documentation of technology direction and standards for data platforms, involving all aspects of information access and retrieval, integration, middleware translators, utilities, tools, and languages - focus on effective and efficient data analytics, business intelligence, and enterprise reporting as the outcome.
Database Management:
- Leverage expertise in database technologies to build robust, scalable, and efficient enterprise-level data solutions.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data models.
Security Practices:
- Working closely with the data security team to ensure appropriate security measures are in place.
- Safeguarding sensitive data and adhering to best practices.
Business Collaboration:
- Participate in Business Intelligence projects, and work with stakeholder groups to ensure successful solutions.
- Translate business needs into effective data architecture solutions.
- Lead from the front as a hands-on subject matter expert, architecting and crafting scalable solutions, and driving data excellence across the organization.

- Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises

OPERATIONS
- Collaborates with members of the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals
- Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department
- Establishes long-term business needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs
- Assists as top-level contact for end users in determining application requirements and/or solutions
- Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations
- Oversees projects and assignments
- Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of applications are performed as needed
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
- Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
FINANCIAL
- All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
- Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

Experience
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology required
- At least 10 years of experience in architecture, data centric platforms and applied AI with increasing level of responsibility
- Have a solid background in enterprise architecture, big data, analytics, AI/MI, and VR/AR technologies.
- Ability to apply consultative approaches and techniques.
- Understanding of business case development and investment appraisal.
PREFERRED
- Experience in data platform creation/migrations/implementation/upgrades is a plus
- Experience with JDEdwards, Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Platform implementation is a plus

Travel Requirement
