Enterprise Architecture Director directs the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Leads the strategy, management, and implementation of the systems architecture function. Being a Enterprise Architecture Director ensures that systems are designed to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Evaluates system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Additionally, Enterprise Architecture Director identifies and researches potential technology products to enhance solution delivery. Participates in creating strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. Oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to top management. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Enterprise Architecture Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Enterprise Architecture Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     SUMMARY:

    In collaboration with the department heads, the IT Director devises, executes, and scrutinizes systems and procedures across the organizations. This role covers the responsibilities of procurement, setup, and technical assistance of computer hardware and software; and presides over database structure for all companies. Designs, establishes and supervises information technology systems by performing the following tasks personally or through associates:

    JOB DUTIES:
    1. Supervises IT operations.
    2. Directs team of IT professionals.
    3. Drafts and implements IT strategies and framework.
    4. Identifies and eliminates various IT risks.
    5. Dissects business requirements for IT systems and solutions.
    6. Endeavors to enhance user contentment.
    7. Assesses IT operations against determined goals.
    8. Facilitates communication within IT team and across various departments.
    9. Evaluates the necessity of new equipment and software.
    10. Fosters and meanwhile preserves relationships with external IT vendors.
    11. Manages company IT help desk.
    12. Enhances team effort by procuring related results as needed.
    13. Convenes with management to discuss scope and imperatives of projects, and to discourse system capacity and equipment procurements.
    14. Manages development, execution, installation, and functioning of information and operational systems for the organization.
    15. Checks reports pertaining to computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs, impact, and rectify issues.
    16. Selects, trains, and evaluates performance of subordinate IT Staff.
    17. In coordination with department heads, supervises technology training whenever needed.
    18. Provides assistance for the security and telephone systems.
    19. Maintains a record of IT software and hardware inventory.
    20. Oversees the design, rollout, and support of local databases.
    21. Administers Help Desk Software to ensure convenience and compliance with SLA's.
    22. Performs other duties as delegated.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Accountable for managing Divisional/Branch Network Administrators, ERP System administrator, Business Intelligence Administrator, and Programmer Analyst.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and data management systems.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Extensive proficiency in all relevant coding languages and security protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team oriented and collaborative.
