Enterprise Architecture Director directs the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Leads the strategy, management, and implementation of the systems architecture function. Being a Enterprise Architecture Director ensures that systems are designed to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Evaluates system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Additionally, Enterprise Architecture Director identifies and researches potential technology products to enhance solution delivery. Participates in creating strategies and policies to meet overall business goals. Oversees implementation of architecture system and advises adjustments to top management. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Enterprise Architecture Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Enterprise Architecture Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To further this work, DVC is looking for a qualified adjunct instructors to teach in the architecture program.
The Diablo Valley College Architecture program is seeking qualified applicants for our part-time hiring pool who are interested in teaching design, drafting and digital media classes in architecture. Applicants from a wide range of architectural disciplines and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Please indicate on your resume areas of interest that you would like to be considered for.
Immediate openings for teaching in the Fall 2024 semester are for second year design studio and working drawings, and architectural practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and faculty.
Adjunct Faculty duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:- providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules;
- creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking;
- evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work;
- meeting with students outside of class;
- maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
- maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas;
- fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member;
- maintaining accurate academic records;
- performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience:
EDUCATION:
Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.
Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master's degree. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
