Summary: The purpose of this position is to support and maintain the District's IT environment. This includes installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading the District's audio, video and sound systems, classroom technology, security camera systems and door access control systems. This position also supports the District's cable plant, including fiber, ethernet, telecom and other various cabling. This position provides technical assistance and training for end-users. This position participates in the planning and implementation of IT systems to ensure they meet the District's needs, are as secure as possible, follow industry best practices and comply with all regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides audio, video and sound system support for event held across the District. This includes setup, system checks, troubleshooting, event support and post-event teardown.
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots issues with the District's audio and video systems and equipment, including systems used in Esports, classrooms, conference facilities, auditoriums and gymnasiums.
- Installs and maintains the District's cable plant, including fiber, ethernet, telecom, coaxial, security camera and door access control cabling. Conducts cable plant locates as needed. Coordinates cable plant work performed by third-party installers.
- Installs and assists with the maintenance of the District's door access control hardware and security camera systems. This includes installation, configuration, upgrades and any other necessary maintenance.
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots issues with communications-related equipment such as credit card machines, fax machines, fire alarm panels, security systems, elevators and HVAC. Coordinates this work with Plant Services and other IT team members.
- Works with the District's IT Special Projects Coordinator to create user documentation and provide user training related to the District's audio and video systems and equipment.
- Provides technical support as needed. This includes on-site and remote support of the District's computers, related peripherals, printing resources, telephone and network infrastructure, and various software and applications. Assists the IT department in developing, implementing, and maintaining a cyber/data security plan. Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Completion of an Associate's degree is required. Experience can be substituted for education.
Base Wage: $42,100-$56,000 annually - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
