JOB TITLE:
Security Analyst
JOB PURPOSE:
UWIT is looking for a highly motivated part-time individual who is interested in learning and supporting the cybersecurity efforts of the university. As a part-time security analyst, you will learn and be responsible for monitoring and responding to security alerts from the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) system. You will triage information from the SIEM, clean up false positives, validate and disable real threats, and create tickets for further investigation and remediation. You will also communicate with the security team and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
