Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Principal Infrastructure Analyst
    Performs the most difficult and complex analysis and technical support for Scott County's systems and applications. Devotes a large portion of time to systems analysis and design. Typically has overall responsibility for technical support of one or more major systems, managing the upgrades to systems hardware, software, and program products to maintain it at current release levels. Accountable for data security and integrity. Provides highest level of root cause analysis and problem resolution. Initiates corrective action within standard change management and release management practices.

    Infrastructure Enterprise Architect (Architect)
    Under general guidance, design and develop the enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms required to meet business outcomes while addressing problems of system integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Evaluate existing systems; provide authoring contributions to the knowledge bases used in support of daily operations; work with the division managers and work collaboratively with project teams to develop and maintain technical and security standards including developing and maintaining policies and procedures. Accountable for data security and integrity enterprise wide. Serving as a lead, provide direction and training to other IT Professionals.

    NOTE: The incumbent will be on-site during the onboarding and training process, then transition into a hybrid role

    Principal Infrastructure Analyst

    Evaluates and recommends new technologies for fit with IT Strategic Plan and continues to develop expert knowledge in the following areas:

    • Operating systems and environments
    • Server virtualization and supporting technology
    • SAN and Fiber Network technologies
    • Network operating environments, software, and protocols
    • Computer hardware and peripherals
    • Best practices for operational procedures

    Architect:
    • Contribute to the planning of the overall County IT strategy, provide advice and guidance towards desirable outcomes.
    • Create business architecture models to reflect the County’s strategies and goals; create and implement the County’s strategies and goals.
    • Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to the IT Department, county administrators and leaders.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Principal Infrastructure Analyst:
    Requires equivalency of a Bachelor's Degree and five years' server experience in a medium to large enterprise.
    Incumbent must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

    Preferred:
    Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
    integration experience of cloud solutions.
    Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and installing Microsoft Windows servers and Hyper-V.

    Architect:


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or related field, and seven years of progressively responsible IT experience with methods, systems, and analysis in application development, data management, infrastructure, or security in a complex, medium to large-scale network environment, including two years of experience in architecture design.
    • Must have experience with third party vendor management to support critical systems.
    • Must have received satisfactory or better performance in the previous job evaluation, be recommended for promotion by the CIO, and be approved for promotion by the Deputy County Administrator.
    • Incumbent must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.
    Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS) or related field, and ten years of progressively responsible IT experience with methods, systems, and analysis in application development, data management, infrastructure, or security in a complex, medium to large-scale network environment, including four years of experience in architecture design.

    Selection Process

    Selection for this position will be based on a minimum qualifications screening and rating of training and experience. Top candidates will be forwarded to the hiring manager or supervisor for consideration for interview and/or additional assessments. Final selection will include a background check and approval by the County Board.


    Note - Intermittent, Temporary, and PT positions less than 20 hrs per week are not eligible for benefits.
