Description:

The position is to support Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES). The Systems Architect position will support major architecture initiatives of New York State Medicaid Enterprise.

Required Skills:

• 84 Months of Enterprise Architecture Experience including managing enterprise solutions, software license agreements, procurements, RFIs, RFPs, write proposals and overall enterprise budgets
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science or similar field of study.
• 84 months of experience specialized in systems integrations involving multiple disparate mid-tier platforms.
• 84 months of experience with data systems utilizing Oracle and other leading database platforms
• 84 months of experience designing and implementing Service Oriented systems.
• 84 Months reviewing new projects for overall architectural impact and providing Architecture Assurance.
• 84 months of experience in research and evaluation of software / hardware products and industry trends to assist in Enterprise Portfolio Assessment and development of the Enterprise Roadmap.
• 84 months of experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

• Create technical specifications
• Reviewing and evaluating technical specification
• Review and evaluate procurements from both a technical, financial perspective
• Support and take responsibility for enterprise licensing, budget and forecasting efforts.
• Ensuring compliance with business objectives and requirements
• Guide project vendor(s) / system integrator(s)
• Ensures functionality is integrated with other applications.
• Create Logical and Physical Technology Models
• Work with Vendor and NYS ITS to support existing infrastructure
• Support Enterprise Architecture review and governance.
• Participate in Data Governance Meetings
• Fulfil requests from management
• Review new and existing data designs including database, SQL and ETL applications to ensure correctness
• System and Vendor Quality Assurance
