The Vice President Information Technology (VP IT) Enterprise Infrastructure is responsible for the delivery of all IT infrastructure and related IT operations used to enable the business and clinical capabilities and services across University Hospital. This position defines and directs the IT infrastructure strategy, architecture design, standards and service delivery management to include servers, network, storage, data centers, DR/BC. Develop long-range plans designed to maintain reliable, cost-effective delivery of UH’s IT infrastructure, while supporting future technology needs of the organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible IT experience, including at least five (5) years of infrastructure experience (preferably in a healthcare environment) and three (3) years of management/leadership experience required. Proven experience in IT infrastructure management in a complex environment and a broad background across areas such as enterprise architecture, systems administration, network design/administration, storage administration, infrastructure engineering, data center operations, and process improvement required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and project management skills. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Proven ability to lead diverse teams and work effectively across all organizational levels. Additional related work experience and or training may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
