Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture
This is a full-time, permanent, remote position.
As the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be the leading voice for setting and maintaining architectural standards and practices within the agency, especially crucial in advancing public health technologies. Your role encompasses overseeing the integration and effectiveness of both cloud and on-premise technologies, with a significant emphasis on leading AI projects aimed at bolstering the resilience and efficiency of public health systems. Your contributions will be instrumental in steering the agency toward innovation and ensuring our strategies are well-aligned with overarching goals.
In this capacity, you'll offer strategic guidance and advanced expertise in Enterprise Architecture to key figures within the agency, including the Deputy Chief of Innovation & Technology and the Chief Information Officer. Your responsibilities will cover the gamut from guiding the agency's IT architecture, ensuring security protocols are up to scratch, to setting policies and standards that support our mission's current and future needs. You'll lead by example, providing mentorship to both teams and individuals, enhancing our Enterprise Architecture program's stature and effectiveness. Your leadership will extend beyond internal operations as you represent the agency in external collaborations, working towards shared goals and solutions with peers across other agencies, thereby reducing redundancy and fostering a culture of cooperation and shared success.

Location and Flexibility
This is a hybrid position meaning you’ll predominantly work remotely from your home location and may reside anywhere in Washington State, as well as the Oregon/Washington border and the Idaho/Washington border. Attending events or working In-office will be required once a quarter and would be scheduled in advance at the DOH office located in Tumwater, WA.
