Senior IT Engineer, Enterprise Applications & Infrastructure (Remote)

Overview:

As a Senior IT Engineer you will be responsible for Weedmaps Enterprise Applications, both hosted and cloud solutions. This person will be planning, implementing, and executing large scale deployments and migrations for our various teams. This role will work both independently and collaboratively to ensure that the Weedmaps team continues to run on all cylinders. We are looking for someone with a deep and genuine passion for technology, an ability to design and implement cross team solutions, create and update documentation and workflow/business process drawings, and strong organizational and multitasking skills. You are the literal central nervous system of Weedmaps business processes.

The impact you'll make:

• Workflow design and development inside the apps or via API
• Working with other teams to help define their business processes
• Finding a way to improve and/or automate those processes
• Review of new applications to ensure how they fit into our ecosystem
• Implement in-app and cross-app workflows with scripting via multiple languages, API’s, etc. for our various services
• Maintenance activities relating to our various applications
• Mentorship and training of more junior members of the team
• Creating or enhancing monitoring systems for all applicable services.

What you've accomplished: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in support and troubleshooting of a variety of applications.
• Configuration and support of a variety of SaaS applications.
• Strong scripting expertise in multiple languages like Python, Shell, PowerShell, Bash, etc., and experience scripting against various APIs.
• Cloud Platform Experience: Familiarity with services like AWS, Azure, or GCP, etc.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Workato, Okta Workflows, Zapier, etc.
• Solid understanding of authentication protocols like Okta and SAML-based configurations, with additional experience in identity and access management (IAM) a plus.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust security models preferred.
• Familiarity with JSON data modeling and REST principles.
• Proficiency in building and optimizing monitoring systems for service operations.

Bonus Points: 

• Prior compliance experience with frameworks like SOC2, GDPR, PCI, or ISO27001.
• HRIS experience.
• Active Directory experience.
• Google Workspace experience.
• Slackbot scripting experience

The base pay range for this position is $136,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
