IT Director of Infrastructure will lead the Infrastructure and Security Team and devise and implement the strategic plan related to the stable, secure, and cost-effective operation of the organization's multisite infrastructure. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure is performant, secure, resilient, and agile to adapt to new business challenges and technology trends.

A successful individual will have experience as a leader in on premise and cloud environments who delivers solutions to ensure the organization runs smoothly and can scale efficiently in a secure manner. This individual will continuously evaluate technology efficiency to recommend improvements that facilitate growth and allow productivity improvements while optimizing costs.
 
Responsibilities
 

• Lead the company's IT infrastructure and security strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy, considering long-term goals and industry best practices.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and data encryption. 
• Design, build, and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services. And lead an on premise to cloud migration.
• Drive infrastructure optimization for performance, reliability, and scalability with a focus on security and compliance.
• Manage hardware and software lifecycles following best practices.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity efforts, minimizing downtime and ensuring swift recovery.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure and security, and assess their potential impact on the organization's operations, recommending adoption where appropriate.
• Manage relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring infrastructure services meet SLAs.
• Manage IT infrastructure budget, optimize spending, and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Mentor IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate IT infrastructure plans, progress, and outcomes to address concerns and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Establish performance metrics and lead teams through continuous improvement initiatives
• Foster collaboration and communication between security and infrastructure teams. 
• Recruit and retain top talent. 

Required Qualifications
 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role within IT infrastructure or security. 
• Strong technical expertise in network security, infrastructure technologies, and cloud security solutions and be willing to be hands-on.
• Demonstrated experience setting long-term plans, building roadmaps, and managing budgets and costs for IT infrastructure and security teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams. 
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget. 
• Experience supporting and deployment with Azure. 
• Familiarity with industry compliance standards best practices in IT infrastructure management and security frameworks and products.
