Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     What You Will Be Doing:

    Under general supervision the Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing business plans, and overseeing department operations consistent with applicable regulations, and HPSJ objectives and policies. Operations Manager will provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership for the department. Work is varied and moderately complex and requires a moderate degree of discretion and independent judgment.

    Essential Functions:

    Required

    • Monitors department workload and makes timely and effective adjustments.
    • Develops department objectives, action plans and budgets that align with company-wide and department objectives; monitors progress and implements appropriate interventions based on results.
    • Plans and oversees configuration of computer infrastructure; identifies the need for and oversees implementation of upgrades and enhancements.
    • Documents or oversees the accurate and timely documentation of computer infrastructure.
    • Coordinates projects to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
    • Negotiates with vendors regarding software and hardware procurement and maintenance, makes recommendations to management for pending upgrades.
    • Defines and implements best practices for benchmarking, analyzing, reporting and makes recommendations for improvements to the IT infrastructure.
    • Identifies, develops, implements, and maintains standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures; reviews and updates as needed.
    • Compiles and submits internal and external reports in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Promotes and maintains an environment that supports HPSJ’s strategy, vision, mission and values.
    • Hires, supervises, and retains competent staff.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Azure, and Office 365.
    • Strong understanding of computer hardware and system architecture.
    • In-depth knowledge experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.

    • Understanding of system redundancy design and recovery technologies.
    • Knowledge of active directory and domain design.
    • General knowledge of common software applications, their function, and operations.
    • Understanding of SAN and Storage Arrays, both in multi-tier architecture and converged infrastructure.
    • Understanding of firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP administration.
    • Understanding of system security and vulnerability management.

    What You Have:
    Education and Experience

    Required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or closely related field; and
    • At least 10 years of experience in IT operations; and
    • At least two years direct supervisory experience; or
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Preferred

    • Experience in a healthcare setting.

    Licenses, Certifications

    Required

    • Valid California license and reliable transportation or, the ability to obtain transportation on demand in the counties served by HPSJ if prohibited from getting a driver license due to a medically documented disability.
