Enterprise Infrastructure Manager manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Manager determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Manager is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Position Description:

    The IT Infrastructure Manager’s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure and data centers. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The manager oversees strategic development of all aspects of data facilities, including optimizing processes and technology, and ensuring a high availability platform. The IT Infrastructure Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Manager is responsible for ensuring proper staffing, task management and technology solutions are deployed.

     

    Position Qualifications:

    • Four-year university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or related degree
    • 10 years equivalent large enterprise work experience and/or a combination of education or experience.
    • Certification in the following technology is required.
      • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems/Solutions Engineer)
      • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) 
    • Hands-on experience in System design, IT Architecture, Networking, Infrastructure operations and operational stability to transform the way the teams operate to ensure delivery of high-quality systems/applications.
    • Ensure High Availability (HA) of Enterprise Critical Application platform (Load-Balancers). Microsoft Application Request Routing (ARR)
    • Ensure security compliance across the entire enterprise domain through continuous evolution of the auditing and remediation program.
    • Experience with architecting new systems, establishing infrastructure standards/processes and ensuring teams adhere to standards, maintain technical diagrams and documentation, Infrastructure/ Architecture design, Configuration, and implementation, leading and guiding other team members and responsible for monitoring all production and non-production systems.
    • Experience working in Azure cloud infrastructure with a hands-on experience using Azure resources and Services. Also experience with Platform Sizing, Infrastructure Cost Reduction
    • Hands-On experience (IaC) utilizing Terraform or Ansible.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including Azure and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.
    • Knowledge of infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, reporting and ability to adopt industry best practices and build high-performance infrastructures that are self-healing, scalable & resilient.
    • Expert in configuring Dell Server/Storage Hardware
    • Experience in setting up and deploying Forward/Reverse Proxies 
    • Extensive knowledge in VMware vSphere (6.x - 7.x) Hypervisor including VMware NSX, Storage vSAN and iSCSI targets.
    • Microsoft ADFS, DirSync/AzureConnect, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, GPO, SRS, FRS, RADIUS, Microsoft NLB, Microsoft Failover Clustering, IIS, Microsoft PKI/CA/SSL certificate infrastructure
    • Microsoft RDS (Farms, RDSH, RDG, RDWA, NPS (CAP & RAP), RDCB and UPD)
    • Scripting in Python or similar general-purpose scripting environment (VBS, PowerShell and Batch/CMD scripting)
    • Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 Datacenter OS level.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis
    • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
    • Application support experience with Microsoft 365 administration and ecosystem.
    • Security knowledge of guidelines provided by the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and the Cybersecurity Maturation Model Compliance (CMMC) policies
    • Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
    • Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
    • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments, budgets, and so on.
    • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
    • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
    • Highly self-motivated and directed.

     

    Essential Duties:

    • Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team with specific focus on application solution architecture and life cycle management.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for appropriate SDLC methodologies, technology standards, minimum quality standards, and project management.
    • Conduct research (including feasibility studies, POC, pilot testing, etc as required) and make recommendations to executive leadership on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all software development procurement, deployment, and administration efforts.
    • Collaborate with IT leadership and key stakeholders to establish service level agreements (SLA). Monitor, and manage service level agreements via Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to support application performance and user satisfaction.
    • Analyze performance of in-house developed applications and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems.  
    • Work with the PMO and stakeholders to ensure utilization of key integrations and development of applications to achieve solutions not provided by 3rd party commercial software.
    • Prepare budgets, in collaboration with department heads, regional stakeholders, and IT leaders as needed, for review by executive leadership; maintain accurate budget forecasts and manage expenditures, review and approve vendor invoices.
    • Prepare RFP's, scopes of work, and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for products and services required to support business objectives.
    • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new Product being consideration to determine its intended functionality and ensure that it meets the specific business objectives.
    • Oversee the planning, deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new Application Development solutions and of any enhancements or upgrades to existing solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s document policies and procedures specifically.
    • Ensure appropriate user communication, change management, and training initiatives.
    • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new solutions.
    • Liaise with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
    • Management of budget for internal and external resources and contracts.  Management of development vendors as appropriate including contract review, negotiations, operations, and quality management.
    • Manage and provide direction for the application development and enterprise services teams in support of daily business operations and provide technical leadership to IT team members working on development project teams.
