    About This Role

    As the Director of Operations at Fishe®, you'll manage operational efforts over Accounting, Warehouse, Production, and Customer Support. This role is for a leader who is forward thinking and will be in charge of devising and implementing standard operating procedures, budget management, team development, system building and strategy guidance. The role strikes a balance between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

    This will be a full-time on-site role, with preferences given to candidates based in Anchorage, AK with the possibility of remote for the right candidate.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Operations and Systems Management:

    • Develop company and team OKRs and evaluate throughout the year
    • Audit KPIs to ensure team is measuring the correct metrics for company success
    • Track project status’ and product updates to the CEO
    • Strong coordination between operations across all departments (Warehouse, Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Support)
    • Implement and maintain best practices in warehouse management, including picking, packing and shipping processes
    • Uphold solid rhythms of accountability for the team in a way of tasks and process management
    • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement data driven solutions
    • Support system implementation for new sales channels and growth opportunities
    • Discover opportunities for cost savings, through technology implementation
    • Negotiate terms to reduce costs in all facets of the business
    • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring on-time product delivery

    Team Leadership and Strategy:

    • Serve as an extension to the CEO, to amplify her vision and output
    • Lead team weekly All Hands
    • Establish guidelines for professional development
    • Coordinate team calendar for strategy meetings, quarterly reporting
    • Guide new project ideas and spec the needs to take it from 0-1
    • Proactive oversight on financial management
    • Analyze profit margins versus the cost of goods, understand the impact of margin change as it relates to sales
    • Tie purchasing to budget to anticipate sales cycles and trends by monitoring inventory levels, managing cash flow
    • Strategic planning to raise brand awareness
    • Purchasing quality control; serve as final check, ensuring each purchase order (PO) matches with the sales growth needs and budget constraints
    • To routinely assess the growing company’s challenges, strengths, and goals to continuously develop the business' long-term strategies.

    Skills, Abilities, and Experience

    Experience:

    • 7-10 years of experience in e-commerce operations or a related field, preferably in the apparel industry or a similar B2C (business-to-consumer) environment.
    • Proven track record of leading and optimizing operational processes
    • Experience in financial management, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting
    • Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing and fulfillment
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Experience with systems implementation
    • Comfortable working on a small team and wearing many hats
    • HR, managing people
    • Quickbooks experience is preferred
    • Shopify experience is a plus
    • A passion for the outdoors and apparel industry is a plus

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to executives and other stakeholders.
    • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

    • Flexibility to pivot on priorities on a moments notice

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
