Reporting to the Program Operations Manager for Enterprise Resilience, this Associate position will be responsible daily operation, maintenance, and enhancement of BlackRock’s instance of Fusion Risk Management system (powered by Salesforce).
This multifaceted position encompasses system administration and development, business analysis, and project management. This position demands a proactive approach to system and data management, with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic alignment to support firm resilience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with client teams (Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk & Quantitative Analysis) to design and develop Salesforce applications that are secure, efficient, and maintainable.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate these solutions to clients in understandable, non-technical terms.
Provide Salesforce administration and system support to clients, including:
Ensuring data integrity by maintaining, analyzing, and improving data and data feeds.
Developing system and reporting enhancements aligned with strategic goals.
Troubleshooting system issues and providing support to resolve access, data quality, or security concerns.
Identify opportunities for program improvements in collaboration with partners.
Manage system issues and enhancements using Jira for effective tracking.
Contribute to knowledge sharing by maintaining the team Wiki and documenting processes, best practices, and guidelines.
Skills/Requirements:
Candidates must bring a minimum of four years of direct experience in developing within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Possession of a Salesforce Platform Developer certification is essential.
Demonstrable experience with the Salesforce Lightning Platform, including adept use of Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and Lightning Components.
A solid understanding of database design principles and the ability to manage complex data structures within Salesforce.
Ability to solve ambiguous and complex technical challenges that span across multiple application tiers and cloud providers (Salesforce Lightning Platform, 3rd Party Integration Products, etc.)
A thorough grasp of Salesforce configuration settings, with the ability to customize objects, fields, workflows, and reports to meet business needs.
Adept at navigating complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions with precision and ingenuity.
A bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred; however, candidates with equivalent work-related experience will also be considered.
Robust quantitative and analytical skills - capable of swiftly analyzing data to discern key insights and their application to business and systems.
Comprehensive understanding of relational database structures, principles, and designs for handling Salesforce’s Data architecture.
Client-focused approach, demonstrated by the ability to understand needs and drive data enhancements to meet those needs.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and effectively.
Proficient in project management, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Dedicated to the development and enhancement of data to support ongoing evolution.
Technical aptitude with an eagerness to acquire new skills.
