Env., Health, and Safety Engineer implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Performs direct observation of the patient to maintain safety. Utilizes specialized training, de-escalation techniques and other interventions as applicable to create a therapeutic and calming environment for patients. Communicates patient mental and/or physical status changes to the primary Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Leader. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values

    Qualifications

    In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

      • 6 months of hospital or patient care experience, required
      • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
      • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions. Ability to observe changes in patient behavior, deescalate aggressive or agitated behavior, and anticipate need for further intervention.
      • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
      • Basic computer skills
      • High school diploma or GED required
      • De-escalation training, preferred. De-escalation required if sitting for at risk for harm to self or others within 30 days of hire or transfer
      • BLS from The American Heart Association, required

    Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
