Env., Health, and Safety Engineer implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Primary Purpose:
The role of the Safety Engineer is to provide development and oversight of the health and safety programs based upon HSSE Cameron LNG Guidelines. Develops and maintains good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills that help operations and other functional groups implement those process changes or procedures necessary to comply with the regulations and requirements. Facilitates the writing or writes site safety procedures and helps communicate/train on any changes or additions. Provides safety support to all departments as needed. The Safety Engineer will report to the Safety Supervisor.
This position will be located in Hackberry, Louisiana. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) will be required.
