Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineer serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. The Environmental and Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for administrating and coordinating all of the plant safety and training programs including policies, legal requirements; organize and maintain all required documentation, investigate safety/environmental incidents, uphold and promote safe work rules, procedures and practices throughout the facility; champion continual improvement activities; ensures compliance with environmental and government safety regulations and industry standards and addresses any unsafe acts and conditions as required.
