Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Designs and develops facilities, work areas and work procedures. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager directs preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to environmental, health, and safety engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Site Safety Manager

    Summary of Responsibilities::
    • Conduct site safety audits and inspections.
    • Complete comprehensive reports of findings including correction plans to ensure compliance.
    • Examine work sites to identify hazards in the workplace.
    • Design and implement safety-related programs.
    • Maintain extensive and frequent interaction with company management, representatives of federal and state agencies and other safety professionals.
    • Responsible for monthly interior/exterior facility inspections (equipment, tools, PPEs, maintenance, fire systems, safety devices etc.).



    Qualifications::
    • OSHA 30 – required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of prior related experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related is preferred.
    • Accident investigation experience.
    • Strong regulatory knowledge in federal, state and local EPA, OSHA, DOT etc. regulations.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Candidates with construction, light rail, wind energy, heavy highway, refinery, and ethanol plants experience encouraged to apply.



    Compensation::
    • Based on experience.
    • Average 1st year earnings = $70,000-$100,000.
    • Opportunity for Overtime.
