Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Designs and develops facilities, work areas and work procedures. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager directs preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to environmental, health, and safety engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. - Safety report writing / documentation / workers comp
- EHS Compliance regulations at both state and federal level
- Collaboration between multiple facilities EHS teams (NJ and Japan)
- Implementation of new safety initiatives' and keeping facility in compliance at all times
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start with walk around the production floor and check basic safety measures / routine check
- Reports, meetings, risk assessments on the equipment, workers comp items, etc.
- Collaboration between multiple facilities EHS teams (NJ and Japan)
- Documenting areas of concern / ensure workers are within compliance on the production floor
- Attending EHS meetings with various teams throughout the operation
Skills:
osha regulation, safety management, environmental health & safety, manufacturing inspection, report writing, safety procedures, cpr certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
EDUCATION
- BS Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or Business

- Occupational Health and Safety Professional Certification (nice to have)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (nice to have)
