Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Designs and develops facilities, work areas and work procedures. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager directs preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to environmental, health, and safety engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Project Engineering Manager/Construction Coordinator

  • We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineering Manager to join our client's team in Mobile, Alabama. This role is crucial for ensuring effective coordination between our Owner’s Team, Home Office, and EPCM, particularly in resolving field RFIs (Request for Information) and providing robust engineering support during construction phases.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Act as a primary liaison between the Owner’s Team, Home Office, and EPCM for field RFI resolution. 
    • Provide engineering field support to the project manager throughout the construction process. 
    • Enhance the client’s team experience level in piping installations. 
    • Offer expert advice on metallurgy and fabrication issues related to piping industry. 
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. 

     

    Required Skills/Abilities: 

    • Proven experience as a Project Engineering Manager or similar role in construction or industrial settings. 
    • Strong background in piping installations, with specialized knowledge in metallurgy and fabrication. 
    • Excellent coordination and communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with various teams and stakeholders. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
    • Experience with CAESARII and/or PV Elite preferred.  
    • Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen. 
    • Proactive and initiative-driven, anticipating client needs. 
    • Authorization to work for any U.S. employer. 

     

    Education & Experience: 

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred  
    • Minimum of 5 years of petrochemical and/or field project-related experience. 

     

     Physical Requirements: 

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
    • Working in and around an operating plant or construction site 
    • Requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus 
    • Lifting up to 15 pounds may be required. 
    • Successful completion of a drug screening process. 
    • Commitment to adhere to safety guidelines and use of PPE at all times on-site, including hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, eye and ear protection.
