CLX Engineering needs an experienced Integration/Controls Engineer who is proficient in PLC programming. The Integration Engineer II works with minimal supervision, is either TUV (Technical Inspection Association) certified or familiar with the requirements, and is extremely resourceful in ensuring safety requirements are not only adhered to but up-to-date. A successful candidate has previous experience in controls and automation with experience in PLCs, Siemens, and Allen Bradley systems. Experience working with Allen Bradley or Siemens Safety PLCs will really make a candidate stand out. Our candidate must be analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to create quality work with tight deadlines. Ideal candidates can take the initiative and are very comfortable interacting directly with clients.
The job involves engineer designing, engineering programming, and commissioning of various industrial projects using both established legacy equipment and new, cutting-edge technology. Design includes knowledge of drafting software, applicable codes and standards, efficient design practices, and current devices. Programming is accomplished with multiple PLCs using primarily ladder logic. Commissioning includes supervising installation and troubleshooting of projects ensuring proper functionality and customer satisfaction. Our most urgent needs require individuals to live and work in Central Florida, although candidates can expect travel up to 60% and work night shifts at theme parks and airports. There is the possibility of working internationally at a theme park.
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial engineering, material handling, conveyors, theme parks, and/or baggage handling. Candidate must be able to work in traditional, long-term projects and fast-paced time and material projects in the entertainment industry. Candidates should have at least some experience managing projects on their own with little to no direct supervision. We are looking for someone versatile and who works well in a variety of work environments, industries, and people. This is not a people-manager position and it is also not an entry-level position. Candidates must have at least 5 years of solid experience working in automation, especially with PLC and coding (i.e., Allen-Bradley, Siemens). Candidates who interview should expect to demonstrate their capabilities.
