Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Automation Engineering Internship (Summer 2024)

  • The Summer Internship Program allows students the opportunity to work on meaningful, business-essential projects that will give them the hands-on experience they need to build a solid foundation for their future. The program targets undergraduate students between their junior and senior year, and acts as a pipeline for full-time employment. As an intern, students will have the opportunity to participate in a formalized program, designed to increase knowledge of Cardinal Health and the healthcare industry, as well as develop essential leadership skills and interview for full-time employment upon successful completion of the internship program.

    Locations: Florida – DeLand

    Start Date: May 20 or 28, 2024

    Hours: Approximately 40 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks

    As a Automation Engineering Intern, you could potentially support the organization in several of the following ways:

    • Support the Automation Team by participating in design reviews, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing and SAT. ( Site Acceptance Testing)
    • Review existing manual manufacturing processes and work with the Automation Team and automation suppliers to develop automation concepts.
    • Automation Engineering is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, production floor layouts and associated tools. 
    • Reviews new designs for manufacturability.
    • Designs process improvements to reduce product cost, process cycle time and improved product quality.

    Accountabilities in this role:

    • Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks.
    • Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity.
    • Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve.
    • Applies judgment within defined parameters.
    • Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects.
    • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy.

    Qualifications:

    For consideration in the Cardinal Health summer 2024 internship program, you must meet a combination of the following requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferred
    • Expected graduation of winter 2024 or spring 2025, preferred
    • Previous manufacturing environment experience, preferred
    • Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
    • Participation in extracurricular activities, community organizations and/or professional associations
    • Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
