Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The environmental, health, and safety (EHS) coordinator will provide technical EHS knowledge and resources to the manufacturing and maintenance departments. This will be accomplished by improving existing EHS programs, developing, coordinating, and delivering relevant training programs, and building rapport and working relationships with employees. In addition, the EHS coordinator will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, monitoring corrective actions, and identifying previously undiscovered or new EHS hazards.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does coach operations personnel on safety and risk mitigation strategies.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

B.S. in EHS, safety science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or related discipline. GSP, ASP, or CSP preferred
