Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Under the direction of the Manager of Public safety or their designee, the Public Safety Supervisor performs a variety of duties to ensure the welfare of patients, employees, and visitors; protects grounds, buildings, equipment, and supplies of the hospital. Responsibilities include a full range of supervisory duties including directing work, training/coaching, corrective action, and performance evaluation.

EDUCATION
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Graduate
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year Security, Law enforcement or Military supervisory experience required. Knowledgeable of security operations procedures principles and techniques, quality customer relations techniques and concepts. Proficient in the use of security and access control devices, personal computer hardware equipment, other electronic devices to include industry related software applications.
LICENSURE
Connecticut State Security Permit required upon completion of training as allowed by Public Act 18-20. Valid driver's license, and acceptable driving record. CT. 'Class 1' endorsement must be obtained prior to carrying a sidearm.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must pass a full background check by the Police Department of the Officers town of residence, as well as a complete a Medical and Psychological evaluation by the Employee Health Department of Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
