Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • As an Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the entire hotel facilities, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with maintenance programs. You are enthusiastic, helpful, and dedicated to providing an exceptional guest experience through an expansive knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment and the maintenance of the grounds. An Engineering Supervisor is self-motivated and communicates effectively with team members and coworkers in order to uphold responsible and professional conduct. The Engineering Supervisor must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

    Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:

    • Regularly conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure and related systems of the hotel, promptly reporting and addressing any issues.
    • Efficiently complete all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of house spaces, and grounds as directed.
    • Diligently follow all prescribed safety procedures and Energy Management and Preventative Maintenance programs as directed by company standards and OSHA.
    • Conduct practical trainings for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.
    • Efficiently report and log relevant information through the use of meetings, log books, and bulletins.
    • Maintain a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
    • Properly handle and account for keys, understanding the need for responsibility and privacy.
    • Sustain the safety of the property though risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee and knowledge of emergency procedures.
    • Following safety procedures as your role is defined. 

    Hourly rate starts at $20 DOE

    Experience and Education:

    • 2 years of hotel maintenance and two years of management/supervisory experience
    • Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and daily use of a car to inspect the community and surrounding neighborhood.

    Physical Requirements:

    The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

    • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently to assist guests
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
    • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
    • Ascend and descend a ladder
