Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Working with the Global Environmental Health and Safety Director, the site EHS Coordinator, and others across the EHS team, the Environmental Health and Safety Intern will review, develop & implement Job Hazard Analysis and work processes that will enable the Bethlehem, PA site to become a safer and more productive manufacturing facility. The intern will work with key safety and production managers to assess, produce, and implement safety procedures that will directly impact the safety culture and productivity of all workers. He or she will also collaborate with the manufacturing subject matter experts as well as management to ensure all risk assessments are implemented into our digital record and training platforms.
The intern chosen will gain invaluable experience from working with the site safety team and gain valuable experience in safety that will help drive the sites safety culture to the next level.
