Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Plan, develop and implement safety programs, policies in collaboration with the Site Management team to ensure safety compliance, employee engagement and continuous improvement to prevent work place injuries.

    How you'll make an impact...

    • Drive continuous improvement for a safe work environment, engaging employees through safety committees and comprehensive orientation.
    • Lead training and company adherence to safety investigation protocols in accordance with global and regional safety directives. Utilize computer based tools to identify site trends and preventative measures to implement and maintain collaboration with employees, supervisors, and managers.
    • Implement and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and regulatory training, addressing at-risk areas and conducting safety audits.
    • Lead safety investigations, analyze trends, and collaborate with leadership on prevention measures.
    • Manage OSHA compliance, maintain safety documentation, and oversee ISO 45001 implementation.
    • Communicate site safety metrics, accident trends, and ensure timely reporting of Vermont Worker's Compensation claims.
    • Foster ongoing communication with injured workers, providing documentation and facilitating return-to-work policies.

    What do you bring...

    • Minimum 5 years of experience with thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and Worker's Compensation processes. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
    • Proven track record of implementing positive safety culture initiatives.
    • Willingness to travel and ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently with urgency.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint; experience in safety and environmental training.
    • Strong relationship building and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
