Job Title: Product Data Coordinator
Department: Engineering
Classification: Exempt
Summary: A Product Data Coordinator for Engineering provides ongoing, foundational support to the engineering team members by performing data lookups, data entry, and other administrative tasks to support customer orders. This individual must be highly organized, be able to manage multiple requests with tight timelines, and have excellent communication skills. This person will be directly supporting several engineers throughout the product development cycle.
Responsibilities: As the Product Data Coordinator you will:
- Review customer specifications with Sales and Engineering
- Utilize Excel to lookup part numbers
- Fill out Excel sheets with part numbers for the Bill of Materials
- Provide verbal and written updates to Sales, Engineering, and Customers in a professional manner
- Interact with customers daily to understand their requests and new projects
- Learn to understand drawings/designs and assembly of products
- Set up parts and enter data into the company MRP system
- Write technical product manuals for our customers
- Generally, support engineering needs to develop new products
- Potential for 10-15% travel
Requirements:
You’re a great fit for this position if this describes you;
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to read Engineering drawings is a plus.
- Able to compile information for reports and decision-making.
- Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications; PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and an understanding of MRP or ERP system; Syteline (Infor) experience a plus.
- Excellent written communications skills, including the use of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar to produce error-free copy, particularly composing letters, reports and documents used for decision-making.
- Outstanding verbal communication skills including tact and diplomacy which would be utilized during customer service, conflict management, development of relationships with internal and external contact.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced, team environment, under pressure with time constraints while responding and adapting to change favorably and quickly.
- Safety is at the forefront of your mind when you are working and you gladly follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment at United Safety.
- You bring with you a positive attitude and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
