Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager designs, develops, implements and oversees the organization's environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. Administers policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas in the environmental, health and safety job family. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager ensures employees in functional areas follow established procedures and comply with federal, state and local regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager typically reports to a unit/department head. The Env., Health, and Safety Generalist Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Human Resources Generalist

    Position Overview: The HR Generalist will aid in the administration and support of HR processes, procedures, and systems at our Cleveland headquarters site.

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Responsible for managing employee relations issues including but not limited to counseling, coaching, and corrective action
    • Coach and guide managers, assist with training and development of employees and managers
    • Full cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles at HQ, assist with other locations’ recruiting needs
    • Assist employees with payroll and benefits questions
    • Manage FMLA, STD, ADA and other leaves
    • Review and approve hourly timecards on a weekly basis, maintain HRIS accuracy for all employee records.
    • Onboard new employees, facilitate new hire orientations
    • Conduct check-in’s with new hires
    • Assist with company-wide internship program
    • Facilitate the internal job promotion and interview process
    • Performance management, including reviewing performance evaluations and providing guidance
    • Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings, engagement events, and community support initiatives
    • Update and maintain current job descriptions
    • Create and maintain facility access badges for all new hires and current employees
    • Track, monitor and coach employees and supervisors on weekly attendance
    • Support HR Director with corporate-wide initiatives and projects
    • Proper record keeping and employee file maintenance
    • Employee communications
    Non-Essential Job Functions: Other duties as assigned.

    Training: Provided on the job and supplemented with external seminars/classes.

    Qualifications:
    • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. HR Certification(s) a plus.
    • Experience:  5-9 years prior HR experience.  Prior manufacturing experience highly preferred.

    Physical Requirements: Long periods of sitting or standing at an individual workstation, heavy computer work.

    Working Conditions: Temperature-regulated office environment.
