Health, Safety, and Enviornmental Manager
Responsibilities
- Support Best Air sites daily functions and programs as a member of the safety leadership team (SLT.)
- Provides coaching to all levels of the sites organization to further develop the safety culture.
- A daily presence on the shop floor, leading employees and taking into account their viewpoints to help improve safety at the facility.
- Lead programs to reduce injuries and strengthen the HSE management systems.
- Establishing strong working relationships with all leadership team members.
- Willing to always address observed “At Risk” actions/conditions and to advise on effective controls.
- Develop and ensure all HSE compliance training is completed which includes but not limited to annual Safety Week.
- Provide operational audits and drive closure of action items.
- Prepare timely EPA, OSHA and Freudenberg reporting.
- Responsible for the management of injury claims to include coordination with insurance carrier and OSHA records. Ensure all internal and external reporting is completed.
- Willing to be First Aid/ CPR/ AED trained and providing assistance in the event of an injury or other emergency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 5 years of HSE experience in a plant location
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a requirement
- Have relevant certifications, system experience, and training, holds all legally required certifications regarding his/her role as HSE Officer
- Drives and supports innovative ideas, while taking informed risks to seek and develop new or improved solutions
