Job Title: Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Springfield, OH

Job Overview and key duties (agile)

• Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of health and safety programs

• Supports Group and Divisional efforts as needed.
• Responsible for overall plant safety program, strategic directions and tactical response actions.
• Primary contact for environmental compliance and any associated issues
• Oversees management of Chemical Control program to minimize introduction of hazardous chemicals in the environment with emphasis on use of less severe chemical options

Additional information (including specialized qualifications / skills)

• Associates Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field preferred
• Two years prior safety coordinator experience as Safety Intern, Safety Assistant Coordinator or Manager, preferred
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with participation in safety program
• Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
