Environmental Compliance Specialist conducts required environmental tests, analysis and observations. Evaluates results and makes recommendations as necessary for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Being an Environmental Compliance Specialist requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Environmental Compliance Specialist relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.   • GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    Responsible for the coordination of environmental compliance data for RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and similar regulatory standards as applicable to the power supply products. Manages material certifications, and complete data entry for all the related work in ERP as needed.

     ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Maintain regulatory compliance of products for RoHS, Reach, Conflict Minerals, Cobalt, TSCA, and other such standards
    • Use of Greensoft GDM software to upload BOMs and check for compliance and resolve any escalations as needed
    • Data entry in ERP and PLM software
    • Interface with various material suppliers to obtain documentation related to compliance standards
    • Create reports and update information to maintain valid certifications
    • Access the company ERP system for BOM, parts check, etc.

     

     SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    EXPERIENCE:  At least one year of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).

    EDUCATION:  High School diploma

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Individual has the ability to write simple correspondence as well as effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:  Ability to use internet/intranet, MS Office (word, excel, access, PowerPoint), and other software programs and packages to their potential to provide a work product fitting to the level of the position.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage, as well as ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    TEAMWORK:   Balances team and individual responsibilities; Supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.
