    About the Position NRHA seeks qualified candidates for the position of Compliance Specialist. The job holder administers quality assurance and HUD regulatory compliance procedures for low-income public housing (LIPH) occupancy and housing choice voucher (HCV) client participation.


    Key responsibilities of this position include:

    • Auditing public housing resident, and HCV client records.
    • Analyzing resident and client data.
    • Preparing audit findings and related reports.
    • Identifying non-compliance or procedural inefficiencies and recommending corrective action.
    • Reviewing and recommending improvements in quality assurance and legal compliance procedures.
    • Leading compliance projects as assigned.
    • Serving as technical advisor on LIPH occupancy and HCV rental assistance policy and compliance matters.
    • Receiving training in regulatory or procedural compliance matters.

    About the Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have:

    • College coursework in Social Work, Sociology, Public Administration, Business Administration, or another related field.
    • A minimum of five to seven years’ experience in public housing and/or HCV procedures.
    • Certification in rent calculation for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV)/Low Income Public Housing (LIPH).
    • Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) certification.

    NRHA will consider equivalent substitutes for education and/or experience, provided that the candidate can demonstrate that he/she has obtained the knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the job.

    NRHA offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The current pay range for this position is $37,710 to $65,686. The candidate's compensation offer will be determined by the candidate's work history and skill set. Benefits include retirement, health, dental, vision, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement options, Public Service Loan Forgiveness, and more.

    NRHA offers a total of $3,000 in bonus payments to new hires in this position. A 180-day employment period is required to qualify for the full bonus amount.
