Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Radon Mitigation Technician at SWAT Environmental is responsible for the installation and service of radon mitigation systems. SWAT is looking for self-motivated individuals with a great attitude and a desire to be part of a growing company with a winning culture. The position requires the ability to work independently, as well as strong customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills. Military Welcome!!Essential Functions:
- Inspect homes and work with customers to determine the most effective placement of radon mitigation systems.
- Install radon mitigation systems by drilling holes, running PVC pipes, installing fans, and sealing holes.

(different for Iowa postings)
- Lift and carry a 60-pound ladder.
- Work on ladders at 40 feet and higher.
- Work in confined spaces (ability to turn, twist, bend, stoop, reach).
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Operate drill, hole-saw, coring drills, and other hand tools safely.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications.
- Use technology (mobile phones, tablets, laptops).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
