Ensures the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Additionally, Environmental Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Specific job activities include, but are not limited to: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, contamination assessments, remedial planning, compliance assistance, permitting, and marketing.
