    Entry level Technicians perform a variety of tasks associated with industrial cleaning, railroad, and agricultural operations.  In this highly safety sensitive role, you will learn to operate a wide variety of equipment in an extremely varied environments at our many customer locations.  As we often work mill shutdowns and provide incident response, this position is can be on-call and often requires long hours and travel (usually limited to the PNW). Travel expenses, such as hotel and a daily per-diem, are employer paid. 


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Include but are not limited to the following:

    • Perform tasks following all safety protocols, rules and regulations as defined by local, state, federal, company and customer specific guidelines to support JEI "Target Zero" safety goal
    • Complete all training and certifications as assigned and maintain current certifications as needed
    • Operate a variety of equipment, including vacuum excavation, hydro-blasters, pressure washers, forklift, etc.
    • Utilize personal protective equipment that can include: disposable or reusable coveralls, raingear, gloves, hardhats, safety glasses or goggles, chemical-resistant clothing, face shields, hearing protection, and respirators (half and full-face).
    • Maintaining a clean work area, including vehicles
    • Driving company equipment to customer locations
    • Complete daily time sheets and job cards with equipment used completely and in a timely manner
    • Perform safe equipment checks, preventative maintenance, trouble-shoot and assist with repair when requested
    • Follow procedures for each job and each piece of equipment
    • Other duties as assigned by supervision


    Requirements

    • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical/drug test and background check.  (As this is a Safety Sensitive position- THC will be part of the pre-employment testing).
    • Valid driver's license and good driving record strongly preferred
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. 
    • Previous experience operating a forklift preferred
    • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or railroad setting an asset
