Environmental, Health and Safety Director oversees organizational compliance with local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Ensures that environmental policy and procedure manuals are available and updated at all times. Being an Environmental, Health and Safety Director ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. About the role:
This role will be responsible for monitoring risks, trending of leading/lagging metrics and developing reports and metrics that will be used to drive accountability and action throughout the site. The role is based in Niagara Falls, NY with responsibility for Norwich, NY plant, requiring limited travel. The position supervises two EHS Specialists; one based in Niagara Falls, NY and one based in Norwich, NY. This position will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing at the Niagara Site.
Must have experience with both leadership and significant PSM safety experience. Chlorine is a definite plus.
Must have PSM (process safety management) and PHA (process hazard analysis) experience
Must have in-plant Specialty chemical experience
The Site EHS Manager is an experienced technical professional in the Health, Safety and Environment management field, with a history of success in implementing processes.
