Environmental, Health and Safety Director jobs in Clearwater, FL

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Operations is responsible for leadership of the Clearwater, FL manufacturing facility in delivering custom-built equipment orders from the point of award through equipment delivery. The role owns the organization’s manufacturing, supply chain and logistics operations and be wholly responsible for strategically and continuously improving the plant's safety, quality, delivery and cost.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field and 8-10 years of progressive experience in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of
• both to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. MBA preferred.
• A proven track record of organizing and managing multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, customers, and employees. Strong ability to motivate others, resolve conflict, encourage teamwork, and manage employee performance

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Sound technical knowledge in OSHA standards and compliance required
• Familiarity with ASME and AWS welding standards a plus
• Lean certifications with directly led project experiences a plus

• Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, D365 ERP is beneficial.

• English Language-Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
