Ensures that environmental policy and procedure manuals are available and updated at all times. Being an Environmental, Health and Safety Director ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Environmental, Health and Safety Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. Job Summary:
Performs plant-level safety and environmental compliance duties under limited supervision. Acts as liaison to applicable federal, state and local agencies for assigned facility. Implements Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to protect employees and reduce risk to the company. Partners with plant leadership to proactively implement preventative measures to reduce the overall risk of injury and environmental concerns. Investigates EHS incidents to identify root cause and corrective actions.
