  • Purpose  

    The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Citadel Completions, LLC. is in compliance with all OSHA, DOT, FAA and other related regulations. This role will be responsible for conducting accident investigations with a focus on reducing work related injuries through policy management, training, inspections/audits, and worker’s compensation management. This role reports to the Senior Director of Quality and is responsible for EHS throughout the organization. The EHS Manager is also responsible for setting, leading, and executing the corporate strategy across the EHS disciplines including Environment, Occupational Health, Safety and regulatory compliance.

     

    Essential Job Functions

    Manage the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs for the Citadel Completions facility. Implement all Federal, State, Local and Corporate regulatory requirements. Ensure that leadership and management are kept informed on all EHS issues and maintain a working environment that is healthy and safe for all employees.

    • Proactively plan and manage EHS policy, performance and objectives to ensure safe operations and meet organizational strategic objectives.
    • Measure track, and report the site’s accident statistics, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and make recommendations for problem areas, to meet organizational goals.
    • Review EHS and related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and corporate requirements. Recommend and develop safe business practices for compliance with new and revised laws and regulations and ensure continuous improvement.
    • Responsible for all required reports to regulatory agencies such as OSHA. Maintain and update all related records and documents. Interact both verbally and in writing with required agencies.
    • Responsible for emergency response, respiratory protection and confined space programs, hazard communication programs, air emissions and hazardous waste, wastewater programs, internal audits and other regulatory and industry related programs as required.
    • Conduct inspections and audits to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions and practices.
    • Perform Job Hazard Analysis and statistical analysis of all jobs and tasks carried out and implement safe work practices.
    • Facilitate and oversee incident and accident investigations, root cause analyses and closure of findings including, corrective action plans and establishment of preventive action plans.
    • Standardize, monitor, and ensure EHS training is conducted in accordance with all relevant regulatory agencies.
    • Assist with the management of worker compensation programs.
    • Conduct employee, general contractor (GC), and subcontractor safety orientations and safety meetings.
    • Establish and chair safety action groups and safety review committee meetings to discuss issues, trends, and goals and encourage employee participation to enhance safety performance.
    • Conduct meetings with third (3rd) party auditors such as fire marshals, OSHA, etc., as well as insurance auditors, as needed.
    • Oversee and maintain first responder and emergency response programs. Plan and organize emergency drills.
    • Maintain all permits in accordance with city and county regulations. Perform and facilitate annual audits of air and water permits to ensure continued compliance.
    • Drive the implementation of programs and initiatives to build and foster a strong, employee centric EHS culture. Plan and implement initiatives that identify and communicate facility risk exposure, prioritize risk reduction needs, and promote a safe work environment.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility 

    This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities:  However, oversees the environmental, health and safety aspect of all departments:

    This position reports to the Senior Director of Quality.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • REQUIRED
       Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university.
      1. Or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • EHS and Safety experience.
    • OSHA 10/30 Hour Trainer in General Industry.
    • Workers Compensation experience
    • Emergency First Responder with CPR and AED certification within 60 days of employment.

    Working Conditions

    The work is performed in an office environment, aircraft hangar, at the departure gate or on the aircraft parking ramp.
