Environmental Manager oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action if necessary.     Role Description:
    This is a full-time contract-to-hire on-site role for a QC Construction Manager located in Gainesville, FL. The QC Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality control processes for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. This includes conducting inspections, implementing quality control procedures, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors, and resolving any quality-related issues that arise. The QC Construction Manager will also be responsible for maintaining documentation and records related to quality control.
     
    Qualifications:
    • Experience in construction quality control.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with contractors and subcontractors.
    • Proficient in the use of quality control tools and software.
    • Certification in quality management or construction management is a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
     
    Position Overview:
    • Be the driving force on getting the project done on time and within budget, while implementing the CQC Plan you developed.
    • Oversee the 3 Phases of Quality Control.
    • Follow and enforce OSHA safety standards, ensuring OSHA compliance.
    • Verify and manage Submittals.
    • Manage Testing and Quality Inspections.
    • Maintain Records and manage the necessary reports and paperwork.
     
    Required Experience:
    • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required.
    • 10 years’ construction experience in Commercial, Federal or Public projects.
    • 5 years’ construction experience in a QC role for projects between $5M and $50M.
    • Recent completion or ability to complete within 90 days of hire of USACE CQM for Construction Course.
    • Strong Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartphone - to take and send photos, Safety reports, etc.).
    • VA, USACE and/or NAVFAC construction projects experience preferred.
    • The CQC Manager will be required to have a valid driver’s license and to pass a background check and drug screen.
