Environmental Manager oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action if necessary. Develops and plans policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems in accordance with organization and government rules and regulations. Being an Environmental Manager evaluates operations and makes recommendations to reduce waste or pollution. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Additionally, Environmental Manager typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Environmental Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Environmental Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for dispatching drivers across all regions of the business on a daily/weekly basis.
    • Establish and maintain all DOT compliance and maintenance processes for all pieces of equipment.
    • Manage and maintain the current GPS tracking and e-ticket programs.
    • Negotiate and review all hauling agreements with current and new vendors.
    • Reviewing and submitting subcontractor’s invoices.
    • Support the Director of Fleet & Transportation as needed.
    • Reports weekly status covering all projects and related activities to Director of Fleet & Transportation.
    • Frequent independent decision-making to ensure safe and proper operations are adhered.
    • Evaluate and recommend asset write-offs.
    • Exhibit safe behavior at all times and perform job in safe manner.
    • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks.
    • Ability to teach and coach others.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations and know how to appropriately use discretion.
    • Ability to effectively explain financial variances and dissect what is needed to fix variance.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5-8 years management experience in Transpiration field
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Valid, clean driver’s license
    • Must have computer skills and experience with Word & Excel
    • Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail required
    • Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred
    • Extensive experience using NetSuite
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
