Environmental Manager oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action if necessary. Develops and plans policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems in accordance with organization and government rules and regulations. Being an Environmental Manager evaluates operations and makes recommendations to reduce waste or pollution. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Additionally, Environmental Manager typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Environmental Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Environmental Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location.

    Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs.

    The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor / outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients.

    Job Summary :

    The Housekeeper / EVS worker ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and a safe environment for all clients and staff at Stonington Institute, with as little disruption as possible.

    Each building will be cleaned daily. Housekeepers interact with clients and staff and must have a pleasant and professional attitude.

    • Clean and maintain the orderliness of areas and assigned rooms.
    • Clean, mop, and vacuum floors and rugs.
    • Dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills and baseboards.
    • Spot wash walls and door handle areas.
    • Replenish paper supplies in restrooms as needed.
    • Empty and clean wastebaskets.
    • Clean and scour restrooms.
    • Clean units for incoming residents.
    • Strip and make beds as needed.
    • Wash, dry and fold linens, towels and client laundry.
    • Distribute clean bed linens and towels.
    • Wash windows.
    • Clean blinds on a rotating basis.
    • Other duties as deemed necessary.

    This is a full-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours. Weekends and holidays required.
