Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. I. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, maintains an assigned area of the hospital in a sanitary and orderly condition in accordance with departmental and regulatory agency policies, procedures and standards.

* Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member.
* Ability to courteously greet and exchange information with patients, visitors and staff while performing housekeeping tasks.

Physical Requirements
* Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
* Ability to do considerable walking and standing.
* Ability to lift 50 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
* Occasional stooping, stretching, kneeling and crouching.
Working Conditions
* Somewhat undesirable; may be in frequent contact with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions, some exposure to dust and infectious materials.
* Occasional exposure to risk of injury for up to twenty percent of work time.
