Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. - Responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting and stocking of patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas according to established procedures. Responsible for the removal and disposal of linens and waste streams.
- Performs interim and restorative maintenance to hard floor, carpets and upholstery according to procedures.
- Assembles, maintains and stores equipment/supplies that are necessary to complete tasks according to department standards.
- Communicates and collaborates with other members of the team to ensure continuity and coordination of services. Reports general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in work area.
- Assists visitors and employees in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination.
- Fully functioning within one cleaning area.
- May be expected to work across department sites for coverage and business need.
Qualifications- Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent
- public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience Preferred
