Pay Rate: $18.00
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Reports to: EVS Working Lead
Department: Environmental Services
Job Summary: The EVS Technician Level II is responsible for providing a safe care environment for patients and staff (visitors as appropriate to the setting) within a specialty area (surgical services/peri-operative suite, Cath lab, endoscopy, etc.) achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection, and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech II will have contact with patients and perhaps family. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety issues and should be appropriate to the specific patient demographics in assigned specialty service areas. Responsible for ensuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician II, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and patient experience.
