JOB SUMMARY:
Sapphos Environmental, Inc., is recruiting for an Environmental Compliance Coordinator/Project Manager. Candidates will have a proven record of accomplishment in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, project management, technical writing, research, public speaking, and business development.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage projects and ensure successful project completion
· Lead small teams and support management of larger projects
· Resolve conflict effectively and proactively take corrective action
· Maintain current knowledge of primary environmental statutes, regulations, and processes
· Write sections for CEQA and NEPA documents, business correspondence, memoranda, proposals, and various other reports
· Secure new business for group
· Independently prepare and oversee letter proposals for minor efforts
· Maintain and grow business relationships with clients
· Interact with clients and agencies in a professional manner
· Effectively communicate in meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
· CEQA and/or NEPA experience
· Environmental consulting experience
· Project management experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Skills in using personal computers and be knowledgeable about MS Office
EDUCATION:
The minimum requirement sought for this position is a Bachelor’s in environmental science, planning or policy, or a related field, plus 2 or more years of experience. Prior environmental (CEQA and NEPA) or entitlement consulting experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Planning, Environmental Management, Ecology, Earth Sciences, or other related fields with 1 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is determined by level of education and experience.
